Now that we are both retired, we have decided to take one big trip each year while we are healthy enough to do so. In 2013 we decided to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary by taking a river cruise in Europe. Travel never goes exactly as expected, and when our ship was stuck on the wrong side of a broken lock, our cruise turned into a bus trip.
We got a partial refund from Grand Circle and also got some credits for future travel on Grand Circle. This led to our trip to Japan and China in 2014.
